Welcome to Lamtech

Modern production of wood products for industry, construction companies, carpentries, and private customers.
Leading supplier of glued laminated boards and components for staircase manufacturing
It all began as a specialized carpentry shop, but today Lamtech is one of Scandinavia's leading suppliers of glued laminated products and components for staircase manufacturing. Our deep knowledge of wood, its properties, and carpentry, combined with modern wood production techniques, ensures products with high strength and beautiful wood surfaces. The foundation of our products lies in northern Swedish spruce and pine, and we are proud to be a certified producer. As our customer, you can be assured that the timber we source is produced under fair conditions and comes from sustainable forestry practices.

Wood products that last

Glued laminated boards, glued wood decking, and staircase components are a few examples from Lamtech's product range. Our goal is to always deliver wood with a beautiful surface that can withstand stress and is easy to work with. For instance, our glued wood paneling and glued wood decking have a moisture content of approximately 14%. In products designed for staircases, the moisture content is even lower, at just nine percent. This ensures less porous products that can better withstand wear and weather conditions.
Lamtech exclusively works with Swedish spruce and pine that grow in northern Sweden and in sandy soil. The sandy soil causes the trees to grow slower and results in denser growth rings. This leads to straighter trees and higher-density wood material. In other words, you get strong, dry, and beautiful building materials whether you choose glued laminated boards, glued wood paneling, or staircase stringers.

Modern and Unique Machinery for Short Lead Times

At Lamtech, we have a machinery setup that few other manufacturers possess. While it may sound bold, our longstanding goal has been to provide you, our customer, with the very best technology combined with the expertise of our skilled workforce. It is natural for us to combine modern machinery with manual inspection to offer glued laminated boards and solutions that uphold high wood quality and are tailored to your specifications. With an efficient and modern machinery setup, we ensure short lead times and swift deliveries. Below, you can learn more about our machinery and manufacturing methods.

Machinery for Basic Wood Products for Decks, Facades, Stairs, Fences, and Houses
The Waco 3000 planer handles all incoming timber, slicing it into lamellas. It's a reliable machine known for its precision. After sorting, the lamellas are glued together. Manual handling with visual inspection of all materials passing through the planer is always included, ensuring high and consistent quality in the wood product.

The adhesives used in our products are D3 glue and MUF glue. After this, the lamellas move on to a High Frequency press, which acts like a large microwave oven. Here, the product is dried under high heat and pressure. Wood products ranging from 16 millimeters to 150 millimeters in height and from 84 to 1,320 millimeters in width can be dried. Lengths can be up to six meters. Using the same type of glued laminated wood, we can produce between 10 and 35 cubic meters per day, depending on the thickness.

The next step involves the Viet Challenge 333 top and bottom sanding machine, which provides the final finish and surface. Wood products ranging from three millimeters up to 150 millimeters can be sanded here. The maximum width is 1,270 millimeters. There are three different grit sizes on the sanding belts 40, 80, and 120 which allow us to achieve the exact desired feel on the wood surface. Once this process is completed, the order is ready. If you require further customization in your product, we are always able to accommodate your needs.

This is how Lamtech processes its glued laminated wood paneling and decking
Lamtech's horizontal band saw, Stenner, handles widths of up to 700 millimeters. The machine can rip thin slices as thin as one millimeter, allowing for precision work at a very high level. After ripping, the glued laminated wood moves on to the LMC Compact 430 planer. This machine processes Lamtech's glued laminated wood paneling, as well as components for outdoor furniture, window and door casings. To profile our glued laminated wood paneling and create customized products, we use the Marinus PowerMax 300, an exact saw and end-matching machine in one, originally designed for flooring production.

We also operate another line with the Waco 1000 planer. This planer handles subcontracting for other companies and our glued laminated wood decking production.

In our HDF press (High Density Fiberboard) from Kallesoe Machinery A/S, we manufacture one of our growing product lines: HDF-faced laminated timber, a popular choice used, among other applications, for stair stringers. The finished product is easy to work with and provides a smooth finish when painted. The press accommodates timber products up to 140 millimeters high and 1,250 millimeters wide. Our HDF press is heated by hot water supplied from the district heating plant adjacent to our premises.
